None Position Summary The Housing Specialist develops, implements, and monitors housing-related components of individual service and recovery plans for program participants. This position supports individuals in achieving program goals and securing permanent housing by coordinating services, monitoring progress, resolving housing-related concerns, and connecting participants with community resources. The Housing Specialist works with individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. The position requires a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that promotes recovery, self-sufficiency, and housing stability. The Housing Specialist works closely with landlords, housing authorities, community organizations, and government agencies to identify and expand housing opportunities. Responsibilities include maintaining housing resource information, coordinating leases and housing agreements, addressing housing maintenance issues, completing required documentation, and safeguarding client confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, review, and update housing-related service as needed. Assist participants in achieving housing stability and permanent housing goals. Monitor participant progress toward set goals and document service outcomes. Coordinate services with community providers and partner agencies. Provide housing support and resource coordination for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and/or substance use disorders using recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices. Facilitate and participate in team meetings related to participant care and housing needs. Attend Local Housing Options Team meetings and other relevant community meetings. Establish and maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, developers, community organizations, and government agencies to expand housing resources. Assist participants in accessing financial support for security deposits, rent, utilities, and other housing-related expenses. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of available housing resources and landlord contacts. Coordinate leases, contracts, housing issues, and maintenance needs. Complete all required program and agency documentation in a timely manner. Maintain participant confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations. Perform duties primarily through direct, face-to-face interaction with program participants. Follow all agency policies, procedures, and professional standards. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in human services, housing services, behavioral health, case management, or a related field. Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, homelessness, or housing instability preferred. Lived experience with homelessness, housing instability, mental health recovery, or substance use recovery is encouraged. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle during work hours.

The anticipated hiring range is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience in housing services, human services, behavioral health, case management, and related fields. Candidates with advanced education, specialized certifications, and demonstrated experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders may be considered for compensation at the higher end of the salary range.
Starting Salary:
$18.45 - based on minimum education and experience requirements.
