Position Summary The Community Liaison / Marketing Coordinator is responsible for community outreach, relationship management, brand awareness, and supporting the admissions pipeline for Autumn Ridge Assisted Living. This role reports directly to the Marketing Manager and/or Marketing Director. This position does not receive commissions, bonuses, or any compensation tied to the volume or value of referrals. All activities must comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA), the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law (as applicable), and all state and federal rules governing senior living and healthcare-related marketing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • A. Outreach & Relationship Development
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with discharge planners, social workers, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, community agencies, and other referral partners as assigned.
  • Conduct regular outreach visits and calls within the service area to promote awareness of Autumn Ridge Assisted Living's services.
  • Represent Autumn Ridge Assisted Living at community meetings, events, and professional gatherings in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately about the services offered without making promises of clinical outcomes or preferential treatment.
  • B. Marketing & Brand Representation
  • Support the development, review, and distribution of marketing materials (print and digital) in coordination with the Marketing Manager and/or Marketing Director.
  • Assist with HIPAA-compliant social media content, website content, and other digital marketing activities, ensuring no protected health information (PHI) is disclosed.
  • Maintain brand consistency in all communications and uphold the reputation and values of Autumn Ridge Assisted Living.
  • Provide feedback from the community and referral partners to help refine marketing messages and outreach strategies.
  • C. Admissions Support
  • Respond to general inquiries from prospective residents, families, and referral sources within the scope of training and policy.
  • Coordinate with internal admissions staff to schedule tours, follow-up communications, and information sharing consistent with privacy laws.
  • Ensure that any discussions about pricing, services, and availability are accurate and in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Avoid making any statements or arrangements that could be interpreted as offering or receiving payment or benefits for referrals.
  • D. Compliance & Documentation
  • Adhere to HIPAA, CMIA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law (as applicable), and all company policies related to marketing, referrals, and resident privacy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of outreach activities, contacts, and community events as directed by the Marketing Manager and/or Marketing Director.
  • Submit weekly and monthly outreach reports, activity logs, and other documentation as requested.
  • Participate in compliance training and in-service education as required by the company. Performance Metrics (Non-Commission) Performance will be evaluated on a quarterly basis using the following non-commission-based metrics:
  • Support of organizational efforts to achieve and maintain an active quarterly census of approximately 200 clients across all applicable programs, through compliant and effective outreach and relationship-building activities.
  • Completion of a minimum number of outreach contacts, visits, calls, and events per week or month, as established by the Marketing Manager and/or Marketing Director.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all reports, logs, and documentation related to outreach and marketing activities.
  • Professionalism, communication skills, teamwork, and adherence to all compliance and ethical standards.
  • Zero tolerance for intentional
HIPAA/CMIA
violations, fraudulent activity, or participation in any prohibited referral or kickback arrangements. No portion of the employee's compensation will be based on the number of residents admitted, the number of referrals generated, or the volume or value of business referred. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, social services, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, senior living, social services, sales, or community outreach is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with professionals, residents, and families.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and CMIA requirements.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to track activities, follow up on leads, and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally for outreach activities, if required.
Physical Requirements The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, drive short to moderate distances, and carry marketing materials of up to 10 pounds as needed to perform outreach and attend events.
