Job Description

OCES aims to support elders and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services that promote healthy, save lives for our consumers. We want to help them stay as active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible We are seeking a Protective Services Specialist to provide primary screening of intakes to protective services, perform training and quality assurance activities and assist with administrative tasks What you'll do: Review and evaluate protective services intake reports Communicate with Centralized Intake Unit regarding intakes Consult with Program staff on issues of potential abuse Elicit and document accurate information pertaining to the possible abuse/neglect of elders Perform activities including training to ensure program effectiveness and quality assurance Scan case-related documents and attach appropriately to electronic system record Perform general administrative duties Demonstrate OCES Core Values What you'll bring: Your passion for helping others and desire to make a difference Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field. Current Social Work License preferred. Two years' social service work experience, preferably in protective services or related Knowledge of the social, emotional and physical processes of aging Ability to interpret, understand and adhere to complex regulations, standards and procedures What you'll get: Ability to work with an enthusiastic team of like-minded individuals Opportunity to develop professionally in your chosen career Great work/life balance: 35-hour work week with some flexibility; standard M-F workweek Hybrid work environment (home, office and home visits).
