Job Description
Job Overview The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, organizing, and managing all volunteers required for the Margaritaville Run in Orlando, FL (Sept 26. 2026) This position ensures that all volunteer roles are filled, communicates instructions, and serves as the main point of contact for volunteer matters before and during the event. Pre-Event Responsibilities Recruit volunteers from local high schools, sports teams, community organizations, and volunteer groups to fill all necessary roles. Maintain an updated volunteer database with contact information and assigned shifts. Communicate event details, shift schedules, and expectations to volunteers in advance. Assist with event setup on Sept 25th, if available. Order and ensure all volunteers have access to food and water throughout the event (e.g., Bagels & Coffee in the morning, Domino's for lunch). Event Weekend Responsibilities (Sept 25-26, 2026): Oversee the Volunteer Check-In Tent and ensure all volunteers sign in. Assign volunteers to their designated stations and provide clear instructions. Be the main point of contact for volunteer groups and individuals, ensuring they understand their roles. Troubleshoot any last-minute changes or issues regarding volunteer assignments. Ensure volunteers have access to necessary resources (e.g., shirts, refreshments, and instructions). Support event operations by checking on volunteers and addressing any concerns. Ensure volunteers sign out at the end of their shifts.
