Job Description

•This is a Temporary Grant position.• The Agency's mission is to be boldly innovative in improving the health and quality of life for South Carolinians. This is position is located in the Bureau of Policy , Richland County. This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position. Are you the One? We are looking for a Program Coordinator II (Housing Coordinator) who directs the management information systems plan, data and quality analysis, and other reporting needs for the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Demonstration grant. Under general supervision, assists with the daily coordination of activities for provider outreach support and education, Home Again, compliance and other Waiver and Facility Services programs. Acts as a Medicaid program liaison to provide program information, consultation and technical assistance to providers of long-term care services, other state agencies, intra-agency departments and professional organizations. The employee will receive direct supervision and is expected to work independently and use discretion. Provides oversight and management of MFP data reporting requirements, participant information, and service expenditures. Applies knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices to create program and system changes. Prioritizes, designs, and integrates metadata, project priorities, and security. Handles data from multiple sources to drive service improvement. Employs strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Creates reports for management to ensure accountability goals and measures are being met. Performs routine analysis of data and prepares appropriate reports. Prepares and reviews MFP grant reports and updates. Acts as liaison with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) grant officials and participates in technical assistance meetings. Provides technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Develops Microsoft (MS) Excel analytic workbook solutions. Ensures the Quality of Life Surveys are completed timely and accurately. Carries a light caseload of MFP applicants who may require additional knowledge of resources and supports applicants to facilitate the transition. Serve as a technical assistant in communicating with field staff to ensure that transition-related activities are timely and responsive to the needs of the beneficiaries. Complete additional tasks as assigned. May require performing tasks across other business units within the agency. State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs. A bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in experience in research, data analysis, and interpretation of data. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with prior State Human Resources approval. All degrees must be from a college or higher education institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education & Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Additional Requirements:
Occasional overnight travel. Requires holder to drive routinely. Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
Lifting requirements:
20 lbs. Valid driver's license. In-office role. Must have knowledge of basic principles of data and quality analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good mathematics skills. Intermediate-level skills with Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to learn to use a number of different IT systems and their related reporting tools.
