Courtesy Officer (Not Paid) Anthem Development - 1.0 Garland, TX Job Details Part-time 19 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Military In-person customer service Live-in employment Law enforcement Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and community-focused Courtesy Officer to assist with after-hours resident concerns and routine community monitoring at our apartment community. This is a resident-based position, and living on-site is required. The Courtesy Officer helps promote a safe, respectful, and well-maintained living environment by responding to courtesy calls and performing regular community walks. This role does not involve law enforcement or emergency response. All emergencies must be directed to 911. This is not an hourly or salaried position. Compensation is provided through a monthly rent discount. Duties Serve as the after-hours courtesy contact for resident calls related to: Noise complaints Parking concerns Building safety-related issues Provide calm, professional communication and de-escalation when appropriate Direct all emergency situations to 911 Conduct routine community weekly: Verify exterior and common-area lighting is functioning Ensure building doors are secure Confirm pool gates are closed and secured Observe and report safety or lease-related concerns to on-site management Document incidents and observations clearly and accurately Maintain a visible, professional presence within the community Skills & Qualifications Must live on-site at the apartment community Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing resident concerns Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently Ability to walk the property and stand for extended periods Background in law enforcement or military service is required
