•Overview Join our compassionate team as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead volunteer programs, coordinate community outreach, and foster meaningful connections between volunteers and patients. Your energetic leadership and social work expertise will help create a supportive environment that embodies empathy, respect, and dignity for all involved. Responsibilities Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared to provide compassionate support to hospice patients and their families Develop and implement volunteer training programs, including workshops on social work principles, communication skills, and end-of-life care best practices Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments to meet the diverse needs of patients and their loved ones Manage volunteer records using platforms like Salesforce and Raiser's Edge to track engagement, hours, and feedback Lead outreach efforts through social media management and community events to attract new volunteers and raise awareness about hospice services Facilitate public speaking engagements to educate the community about hospice care and volunteer opportunities Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure volunteers are integrated effectively into patient care plans while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Qualifications Proven experience in volunteer management, social work, or related fields with supervising responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams of volunteers Excellent public speaking abilities for community outreach and educational presentations Familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar CRM platforms for managing volunteer data Experience in campus recruitment or recruiting strategies is a plus Knowledge of social media management tools to promote programs and engage with the community Demonstrated skills in training & development, social work principles, and managing diverse groups of volunteers Effective communication skills with a passion for public service and compassionate care This paid role offers a dynamic environment where your leadership can make a meaningful difference. Pay:
$21.64 - $26.68 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
