Role Overview:
Functions as a member of the Phoenix Rising Housing Program Team and is responsible for mentoring residents in finding and living their journey to health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage consumers in a professional and open manner. Facilitate weekly wellness recovery action plan (WRAP) groups. Facilitate weekly recovery groups. Facilitate weekly support groups. Provide resources. (i.e., Schools, Benefits, etc.). Follow up on no-shows. Follow up phone calls for periodic check-in. Sharing personal stories of successful employment and recovery.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED and continuing education in mental health field such as the Peer-to-Peer Counselor Program. Current driver's license and automotive Insurance. Pass required background checks. Proof of Registration as a counselor with the State of Washington. Ability to transport clients (if necessary). Ability to work independently. Achieve certification as a Peer Counselor within 12 months of hire. Why Join Us?
