Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance to individuals facing challenges related to addiction, mental health, and behavioral health. This position requires a strong commitment to helping others and the ability to manage crises effectively and provide mentoring support. Duties Provide direct support and to individuals dealing with addiction and mental health issues. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute situations effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies. Serve as a mentor, guiding and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. Requirements Must possess a valid Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist certification Must have personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, and demonstrate the ability to use that experience to support and empower others in their recovery journey. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavioral health systems is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective documentation and reporting. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Must adhere to all HIPAA guidelines by ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of client information at all times, both during and outside of work hours.
