Full Job Description Position Summary:
IMCES immediate opening for a Substance Use Specialist . Certified substance use counselors (CADC-I, CADC-II, or
CADC-III
). The Substance Use Specialist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling for clients with substance use concerns. Conduct substance use assessments and contribute to integrated treatment planning. Deliver services using evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, CBT, and harm reduction. Coordinate care with clinical staff, psychiatry, case management, and peer support. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with DMH and Medi-Cal standards. Participate in clinical supervision, multidisciplinary meetings. Collaborate with DMH to support linkage and referrals to detox, MAT services, residential treatment, or sober living. Minimum Qualifications (One of the following):
For Certified Counselors:
Active certification as CADC-I, CADC-II, or
CADC-III
through CCAPP, CADTP, or
CAADE/ACCBC
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing SUD treatment services Compensation may differ based on individual experience and qualifications
