Bridges Professional Treatment Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our growing team.
Pay:
$25.00 to $27.00 per hour MID to PM shift Must be Registered or Certified through CCAPP, CADTP or CAADE Must pass Drug Screening/Background Check Bridges Professional Treatment Services is a well established, highly regarded treatment provider in the Sacramento area. Bridges offers a variety of treatment options that accommodate all levels of need and a full continuum of care. Our specialized programs include Alcohol and Drug Counseling, Case Management and Collaboration with Family Treatment Courts and CPS, Outpatient Treatment, Sober Living, DUI Education, and Drug Diversion Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Entry Level Counselor
- Bridges DUI Program, under the direct supervision of the Supervising Counselor include but are not limited to: Conducts individual and group counseling, re-entry, and educational sessions.
Conducts intakes, reinstatements, and returns from a leave of absence. Provides case management services including the scheduling of make-up sessions, enrollment into re-entry sessions, returns to court/probation, and terminations/deletions. Provides counseling support and assists clients with alcohol-related problems as well as personal or family problems including providing referrals to ancillary services as needed. Administers sobriety testing as warranted and in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Answers telephone calls and returns all telephone messages the same business day that the calls are received. Maintains required documentation of client activities and services with 100% accuracy and error-free. Monitors and records client attendance, participation, progress, program payments, and provides additional written reports as required by program guidelines with 100% accuracy. Accurately maintains the space availability scheduling book ("red lists"). Provides clients with accurate information regarding their account balances, payments due, and financial statuses.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
: Knowledge of substance abuse including; individual and group counseling/education techniques; ability to work with divers populations; effective verbal and in written communication; knowledge of database and computer systems; including Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and staff members; ability to perform diverse tasks within a limited time frame; knowledge of California Code of Regulations Title 9.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and experience in the area of substance abuse problems and individual and group counseling/education techniques; and certified or registered as a AOD counselor per California Code of Regulations Title 9. Benefits Package includes (for full-time employees) : Medical Insurance
