About Us La Jolla Recovery is a renowned substance use treatment center dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals on their journey to recovery. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of our clients and helping them achieve lasting sobriety and wellness. Job Description We are seeking an empathetic and skilled Certified Substance Use Counselor to join our team. The Substance Use Counselor will play a pivotal role in leading therapeutic group sessions, fostering a supportive environment, and helping clients build the necessary skills and resilience for lasting recovery. Key Responsibilities Client Coordination:
Assist clients in obtaining services needed for medical, housing, education, and other.
Group Facilitation:
Lead group sessions for clients with substance use disorders, using evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities to promote recovery and personal growth.
Aftercare Planning:
Help clients develop an aftercare plan including a supportive environment and support system network for client's discharge.
Conduct Assessments:
Perform periodic assessments to evaluate client's needs to be able to provide individualized support.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the treatment team, including therapists, counselors, and other case managers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Qualifications:
•CADC, SUDCC, or CATC required (We are not able to hire
RADT/SUDRC
at this time) •Willing to work Saturday or evening if needed (On rotation) Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and recovery principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to group facilitation. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
