Certified Substance Abuse Counselor- Must have CADC or Equivalent

Job Description:

Conduct Biopsychosocial Assessments:

Perform comprehensive evaluations to understand the biological, psychological, and social factors affecting each client's substance use.

Create Individualized Treatment Plans:

Develop tailored treatment plans with clear, concise, compelling, and measurable goals and objectives that address each client's unique needs.

Facilitate Psychoeducational Groups:

Lead informative and therapeutic group sessions to educate clients about addiction, coping strategies, and recovery processes.

One-on-One Client Meetings:

Engage in regular individual sessions with clients to discuss their progress, review assignments, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Crisis Management:

Respond promptly and effectively to client crises, providing immediate support and intervention to ensure their safety and well-being.

Requirements:

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in the substance abuse field is required.

Certification:

Must be certified through the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP) or the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP).

Core Competencies:

Comprehensive understanding of the 12 core functions of substance abuse counseling. Adherence to case management ethics and a strict code of conduct. Proficiency in conflict resolution techniques. Strong effective communication skills. Proven ability to build and work within a team effectively.
