Role:

NTSI Traffic is seeking a qualified, professional, and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support our Driving-Under-the-Influence (DUI) First Offender Program across our Southern California offices. This role is ideal for a certified counselor who is committed to behavior change, public safety, and supporting participants through structured education and counseling programs. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable facilitating both in-person and virtual sessions.

Compensation & Job Type:

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Must be available to work Monday through Saturday, as needed Position is onsite and will rotate between Santa Ana and Laguna Hills locations, as directed

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate and lead group education sessions Conduct individual counseling sessions (face-to-face) Produce and maintain detailed group notes for each participant Perform case management, including accurate and timely documentation Track participant attendance, absences, payments, and self-help meeting compliance Conduct sessions virtually via Zoom as needed (equipment provided onsite) Adapt to both in-person and telehealth service delivery requirements

Requirements & Qualifications:

Must be registered and certified with one of the three certifying agencies recognized by the Department of Health Care Services. The accredited organizations are as follows: California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educators (CAADE) California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP) Minimum of 2 years of experience providing substance abuse counseling or related services Strong documentation and case management skills Ability to facilitate group sessions effectively and professionally Clear and professional verbal and written communication Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain organized records Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required At NTSI, we have been a national leader in behavior-based driver safety training for over 50 years.
