Job Description

Job Title:
Clinician Level 2 Job Description As a Clinician Level 2, you will provide crisis intervention services to individuals in emotional or physical distress. You will conduct diagnostic evaluations and refer clients to licensed clinicians for treatment, ensuring adherence to infection control practices. Your role will involve making referrals to external programs for medical and psychological intervention, collecting specimens for drug screening, and providing counseling services to a diverse clientele, including those with mental illness, alcohol dependency, or
HIV/AIDS.
You will assess clients to formulate treatment needs, orient new patients to treatment programs, and participate in treatment planning and counseling sessions. Responsibilities Identify potential customers and inform them about available programs. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans, maintaining regular contact with participants. Complete required paperwork and maintain customer confidentiality. Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers. Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings. Engage with community providers in relation to program content areas. Deliver presentations about programs to various agencies monthly. Essential Skills Master's degree in social work or related field with a license (such as
LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC-A, LPC, LADC
). Three years of clinical experience related to homelessness, mental health, or substance use. Proficient in databases, MS Office, and maintaining case notes. Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate groups and a strong experience in counseling. Experience with diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds. Knowledge of Human Services, Justice System, Court systems, substance use, and target populations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus. Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use, mental illness, or domestic violence is preferred. Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford. Ability to work collaboratively with other service providers. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves collaboration with various community-based providers and requires engagement in innovative models to offer services to under-served populations. There is a focus on fostering independence and skill-building while guiding individuals and families towards a stable and successful future. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
