ACT Substance Abuse Counselor - Make a Difference in the Community! Are you passionate about helping people overcome addiction and working with individuals on their recovery journey? Position:
Substance Abuse Counselor Location:
Boise, ID (In-person role - Community-based services)
Pay:
$25.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on licensure
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (Evenings & weekends as needed)
Expected Hours:
40 per week

What You'll Do:
Work with the
SPMI Population:
Provide substance abuse counseling to adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). This can be challenging but incredibly rewarding!
Collaborate Daily:
Work closely with a team of professionals in case management, medication management, and co-occurring counseling. Together, we deliver comprehensive care that meets individual needs.
Facilitate Treatment:
Conduct substance abuse assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based practice groups.
Offer Individual Counseling:
Provide one-on-one counseling to individuals working through addiction recovery.
Case Management:
Support clients in navigating all aspects of their recovery journey, from treatment to daily life. Work as a
Team:
Attend daily team meetings, collaborate with other departments, and help craft individualized treatment plans. The team approach is what makes this role so effective.
Complete Documentation:
Write detailed case notes, treatment plans, and assessments - keeping everything compliant with ethical codes and regulations. What We Need from
You:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC required).
Licensure:
Must have active license with the Bureau of Occupational Licensing (IBOL). Experience in
Substance Abuse Counseling:
At least 1 year preferred, with an understanding of co-occurring disorders.
Certifications:
CADC or ACADC certification is a plus!
Technical Skills:
Comfortable with basic computer operations and case management software like WITS.
Communication Skills:
Strong oral and written communication to collaborate effectively with the team and clients.
Background Check:
