In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive addiction counseling, behavioral health support, and clinical assessments to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Your expertise will guide clients through recovery journeys, utilizing evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group therapy. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering clients to achieve lasting sobriety and improved mental health in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual treatment needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating addiction counseling, psychotherapy, and behavioral health strategies. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans that include case management, family counseling, and community outreach efforts. Maintain accurate medical documentation, patient records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to monitor treatment outcomes and improve service delivery. Experience Proven experience in addiction counseling or behavioral health settings with a focus on substance use disorder treatment. Strong background in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and social work principles. Familiarity with medical records management, terminologies, and HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including diagnosis evaluation and patient assessment procedures. Previous work in outpatient settings , especially those involving patient care coordination and case management. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills in both individual and group therapy environments.
