Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor (CIT, CAC, RAC, LAC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, helping them to develop coping strategies and achieve recovery goals. This role requires a strong understanding of addiction and mental health, as well as the ability to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with patients. You will be part of the clinical department and have direct engagement with our patient population. Duties Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery strategies and coping mechanisms. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Facilitate educational workshops on substance abuse prevention and recovery. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in addiction treatment. Referring clients to resources and services. Requirements Certification or licensure is required . Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques for substance abuse treatment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in crisis intervention is a plus. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
