Contract Substance Abuse Counselor (PRN/As-Needed) Lafourche Parish Drug Treatment Court, Thibodaux, LA Looking to pick up extra hours, stay active in the field, or get your foot in the door? Whether you are retired, seeking supplemental income, or building experience, this position allows you to step in, facilitate groups, and support participants in a structured treatment court setting. There is also potential for this role to grow into a more permanent position based on program needs and performance. We are seeking a reliable Contract Substance Abuse Counselor to provide coverage on an as-needed basis for staff absences, including vacations and sick leave. This position plays an important role in maintaining continuity of care of participants in a structured treatment court setting.

SCHEDULE

(as needed): Morning groups: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-11:00AM Evening groups: Monday-Friday, 5:00PM-7:00PM •Flexible scheduling based on your availability

COMPENSATION

$25 per hour, with consideration for experience 1099 independent contractor position

RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate substance abuse treatment groups in accordance with program standards Maintain a structured, professional, supportive group environment Accurately document group sessions in the program's case management system following each session Follow all program policies procedures, and confidentiality requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), or Master's in Social Work under supervision working towards Licensing (LMSW) Qualified Professional Counselor, or Counselor in Training (CIT) as defined by the Minimum Standards/Requirements for Abuse/Addiction Treatment Facilities/Programs (OMF/BHSF/HSS) Experience working with substance use disorders and /or justice involved populations preferred Strong group facilitation and documentation skills Ability to step in with minimal notice and maintain consistency in service delivery

Treatment Services:

Conducts group counseling sessions utilizing multi-systemic therapies.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

No IN-HOME visits, all participants required to come into the office for services. Group Counseling with participants. Uses cases management system to make progress notes.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
