Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide assessment and counseling services to residents with a diagnosis of, or history of, a substance use disorder. As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing individual and group sessions, consultation, and educational training to staff. Splits duties between Webster Manor Rehab and Lanessa Extended Care. Salaried role with weekly pay. $26 to $30 an hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct services to residents through evaluations, screenings, crisis/emergency assessments, and individual and group therapy Evaluate resident's biopsychosocial needs and identify behaviors and barriers that interfere with medical rehabilitation Facilitate individual and group counseling and develop appropriate treatment plans to address substance use disorders Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and collaborate with doctors, insurance providers, and hospital networks Maintain client records and administrative records according to Athena's policy Provide orientation and ongoing in-service education to staff on the care and treatment of residents with substance use disorders Attend in-service education, clinical supervision, and professional meetings as required Perform risk assessments and develop treatment plans that are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care
Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field Preferably licensed to practice in the State (LMHC/LICSW/LSW/ LMFT/ LADC-I) Experience in the area of treatment of clients with a substance use disorder
