JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title :
Admissions Counselor - withCredentials Summary :
Provides intake assessments, therapeutic, and case management services to include initial treatment plans, for individuals, groups, and families receiving substance use disorder treatment services. Works with other clinicians and paraprofessional staff to deliver therapeutic services as assigned. Reports to the Clinical Director.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides substance use disorder counseling to clients at the
PHP/IOP/OP/3.1
levels of care as assigned; develops treatment plans, discharge plans, and continuing care plans for assigned caseload as needed; provides therapeutic crisis intervention and case management services as required.- Collects data about patients through clinical interview, case history, and observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
- Coordinates with the Clinical Director to escalate high risk assessment cases
- Provides therapeutic interventions as appropriate for clients in a crisis.
- Follows-up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery as needed.
- Consults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to client records, rights, and responsibilities. Obtain ROI documents as appropriate
- Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
- Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.
- May lead paraprofessionals in performance of clinical duties.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum active Alcohol and Drug Trainee status in good standing or
CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LMSW, LGPC. LCSW
- Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field strongly preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required o Ability to apply substance use disorder counseling methods and techniques.

$58,500 - $70,000 per year depending on experience and credentialBenefits :
