Addiction Counselor

Addictions Counselor:

Primary Job Function:

The Drug & Alcohol Counselor provides counseling and case management treatment services to clients with substance use disorders through the use of interventions, treatment, rehabilitation, and support to promote long-term stability.

Essential Job Functions:

Be able to successfully create a positive atmosphere and a safe place for open discussion for clients recovering from drug and alcohol addiction Have experience with group facilitation with drug and alcohol abuse consumers Maintain accurate and updated client records Respond, as needed, to client grievances and treatment concerns Other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications |

Certifications:

Maryland Certification:

ADT; CSC-AD; CAC-AD Previous experience working with substance abuse individuals preferred. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward client
