Job Description

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist - Outpatient Services Are you passionate about helping individuals on their recovery journey? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to join our Outpatient Services team. Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Outpatient SUD Services, the SUD Therapist provides person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented behavioral health services in a supportive outpatient setting. This role focuses on empowering individuals through self-determined, least restrictive care that promotes long-term wellness and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing Conduct assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and formal treatment reviews Deliver crisis intervention, care coordination, referrals, and collaboration with community partners Facilitate psychoeducational groups (e.g., parenting skills, independent living skills, anger management, substance use education) Maintain accurate documentation and consistent attendance If you are committed to making a meaningful impact and thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment, we encourage you to apply and join our mission to support recovery and resilience.
Required Education/Certification/Licensure Therapist I:
Master's degree. Limited License in the state of Michigan, Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW) or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) AND is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), or has an active development plan / is willing to start a development plan.
Therapist II:
Master's degree. Fully Licensed in the state of Michigan, Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Limited Licensed Psychologist AND is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), or has an active development plan / is willing to start a development plan.
Therapist III:
Master's degree. Fully Licensed in the state of Michigan and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). Preferred Education/Certification/Licensure Certification in an evidence-based practice or treatment model such as DBT, or CBT, or EMDR.
