Job Description

Position Summary:
The therapist is responsible for but not limited to; documentation, treatment planning, reporting and recordkeeping to ensure the compliance of licensure standards. The therapist will provide residential substance abuse counseling services to the women of Santa Monica. In addition, the therapist will provide support in planning and facilitating group counseling sessions. This position will serve as a modem to maintaining the agencies ethical and professional standards. The therapist will be expected to have competency in recognizing and or treating co-occurring conditions within their scope of practice and appropriate licensure.
Responsibilities:
Conduct substance abuse evaluations and/or updated assessments as needed for providing client services or referrals. Provides individual, family and group counseling as needed per program model. Monitor progress. Establishes a comprehensive treatment plan, with client participation, that outlines the client goals, objectives, outcomes, and structure of their treatment. Completes necessary documentation, per licensure standards, in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains credentials per licensure standards. Prompt and dependable attendance and scheduling. Displays a courteous and caring attitude towards clients, co-workers, visitors, and referral sources. Understands, abides by, and promotes agency policy, procedure and requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Recognize co-occurring conditions as they present. Refer, treat, or recommend services as necessary to be sensitive to the individualized needs of the client and remain within the licensure and scope of practice.
