About the
Role:
The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) plays a critical role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders by providing professional counseling and guidance tailored to their unique needs. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting recovery and preventing relapse. The counselor collaborates closely with healthcare providers, social services, and families to ensure a holistic approach to treatment and support. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality and promote best practices. Ultimately, the LADAC contributes to improving clients' overall well-being and helping them achieve sustainable sobriety and healthier lifestyles.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's of Bachelor's Degree in a related field (psychology or social work) required.

Valid state licensure or provisional license as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC).Demonstrated experience in substance abuse counseling, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' substance use history, mental health status, and social factors to inform treatment planning.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' specific needs and goals related to alcohol and drug abuse recovery.

Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients through the recovery process.

Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary and providing relapse prevention strategies.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, social workers, and family members, to coordinate comprehensive care.

Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Stay current with developments in addiction counseling, treatment modalities, and relevant laws to ensure high-quality care.

A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks. A Physical Capacity Profile may be required for some positions.
