POSITION PURPOSE:
As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to patients on their journey to recovery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
' Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches ' Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patients' unique circumstances. ' Monitor and evaluate patients' progress towards achieving treatment goals. ' Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including medical, behavioral health, and traditional wellness providers, to ensure coordinated care. ' Educate patients on the risks and consequences of substance abuse, as well as techniques for relapse prevention. ' Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and progress. ' Demonstrate respect for and understanding of Tribal sovereignty, history, and the unique experiences of Native and Indigenous communities. ' Promote a strength-based approach that recognizes historical trauma, resilience, and cultural identity as essential components of recovery
QUALIFICATIONS
' MHACBO Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I) required. ' Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling. ' Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for addiction (e.g., CBT, MI, relapse prevention) ' Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to addiction treatment. ' Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills ' Knowledge of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and community-based resources ' Build trust and rapport with diverse populations, including Tribal members and underserved communities
