Fee For Service Substance Abuse Counselor

Immediate Opening New Directions Treatment Services is seeking an experienced Counselor to join our team. This position is fee for service which offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality outpatient behavioral health services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution. CADC certification

About Us :

New Directions is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization recognized as a PA Center of Excellence for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder. We specialize in client-centered Medication Assisted Recovery and utilize evidence-based practices to support long-term recovery in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based practices, including behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Utilize advanced skills, such as motivational interviewing, to address patient needs effectively. Stay current on best practices in mental health counseling and engage in ongoing training and professional development.
