Auberle operates over 20 programs in 10 Western PA counties with 200 staff members and a $16M+ budget. The Family Drug and Alcohol Counselor will be a key role at the Auberle Family Healing Center in the Mt. Oliver area of Pittsburgh. The Auberle Family Healing Center is an innovative residential treatment program for families struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD). The program is a licensed 3.5 Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility that provides an array of comprehensive services to meet diverse needs in efforts to provide adequate support and work towards the enrichment of the family system. This innovative program allows families with multiple adults and up to four children to stay together while the person struggling with addiction receives treatment. The Family Drug and Alcohol Counselor will be an integral part of this new one-of-a-kind in the country program. The Family Drug and Alcohol Counselor will hold a caseload between 4-7 clients MAX and will have the convenience of working four (4) 10-hour days with 3 consecutive days off.Key Objectives:
Running Groups, conducting individual counseling sessions, treatment planning, goal writing, discharge and aftercare planning, and participating in treatment team meetings. Creating a curriculum that is individualized to each of the identified clients. Capable of role modeling for both clients and staff to helps to maintain strong clinical program. Technical ability to maintain compliance with licensing regulations including completing required and mandatory training hours, having strong clinical skills in D&A and mental health treatment, and possessing a working knowledge of HIPAA, DDAP, COA, and CQI processes Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders throughout the provision of service. Master's Degree or above in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a human service agency, preference given for those who possess a current drug and alcohol counseling license - Auberle is open to helping qualified candidates obtain licensure. Preference given to individuals with lived experience around substance use or co-occurring disorder. Because of treatment philosophy, persons identified or who have been diagnosed with an alcohol or other drug dependence be abstinent for at least two (2) years prior to employment and remain abstinent throughout employment Pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug screens ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances Pre-Employment, FullCOVID-19
vaccination required within 30 days of hire Understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented systems of care including understanding of and respect for everyone's unique path to recovery Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills including computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and the Windows environment On an as needed basis, operate program van/vehicle as needed and the ability to lift 50 pounds and physically assist families as needed with moving into and out of the residential facility, including assistance with lifting, carrying and moving objects and packages.
