Job Description
Join our team at our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MMT) Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program in Philadelphia as a Therapist, where your work will directly support individuals on their path to recovery. In this role, you'll use your clinical skills and compassion to inspire change, foster resilience, and help people rebuild their lives through meaningful, person-centered care.
Therapist responsibilities include:
Clinical Treatment & Therapy Facilitate effective group and individual therapy sessions Conduct clinical assessments and recommend appropriate services based on need and stage of change Engage and motivate resistant or disengaged individuals to participate in treatment Demonstrate strong core counseling competencies (active listening, rapport-building, open-ended questioning, empathy, summarization, and managing resistance) Maintain professional boundaries while building therapeutic rapport Caseload & Documentation Management Manage an active caseload, tracking progress, engagement, and treatment needs Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation compliant with program, state, and federal standards Maintain up-to-date client charts, including incident reports and non-billable activities within required timeframes Conduct outreach and re-engagement for individuals missing or disengaged from treatment Case Management & Collaboration Support and collaborate on case management efforts to connect individuals with community resources Provide case management services as needed Communicate effectively with supervisors, case managers, and peer specialists regarding client needs and updates Program Operations & Compliance Maintain required productivity levels and authorized service units Ensure compliance with Merakey, county, state, federal, and regulatory standards Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality policies, and code of conduct Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives Professional Development & Training Engage in clinical supervision and continuing education Complete all required trainings and certifications Perform additional duties as assigned Earn $26.67 per hour in the full-time, on-site role!

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following: Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty or concentration in counseling is required. Professional License (i.e., LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist), or license from PA Certification Board (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS) will need to be achieved within 2-3 years of hire is required Experience working with clients who have a substance use disorder diagnosis preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
