Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist Addiction Therapist to join our team. As an Addiction Counselor, you will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Your role will involve conducting assessments, group and individual therapy classes, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to help clients on their path to recovery.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity of addiction and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual counseling sessions to address underlying issues contributing to addiction
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and encourage open discussion
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire clients to make positive changes in their lives
  • Implement evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for clients
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide crisis intervention services when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Valid state licensure or certification as an Addiction Counselor (LADC, CADC, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
  • Experience in data collection and outcome measurement tools
  • Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Strong understanding of addiction recovery principles and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations
