Mat Texas is seeking experienced and impassioned full time counselors for our Substance Abuse Program. The Counselor is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the clinical director. He/She will be responsible for the care of assigned patients and will provide individual therapies as ordered by the Clinical Director. You will oversee and maintain an active caseload. Develop Individualized Treatment Plans. Prepare daily assessments, screenings, and diagnoses. Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive assessments. Work Individually with the client addressing treatment needs. Follow agency policy and procedure and maintain compliance. Have the ability to utilize an electronic healthcare record. Conduct therapeutic counseling sessions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and staff. Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. Understanding of addiction, co-occurring models and treatment modalities.

Education:

Associate (Preferred) College degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred) Experience in behavioral health care settings (Preferred)

Experience:

Addiction counseling: 1 year ( Preferred)

Licenses/Certification:

Licensed in good standing in Texas as an LCDL (Required)

Monday

• Friday 5:00 am
• 1:00 pm Saturday 7:00am
• 8:00 am
