Job Description
Job Summary As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders to overcome their challenges and achieve long-term recovery.
Work Schedule:
(3) days per week, only.- Referral Bonus Pay

- Assist clients with developing individualized service plan
- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to individuals or groups
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Offer support and guidance to clients' families to facilitate the recovery process Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field, Current licensure or certification as a substance abuse counselor (e.g., CSAC
- S, LADC, LPC, LCSW) in accordance with DBHDS regulations is
REQUIRED
- Certification or licensure in addiction counseling or related discipline
- Proficiency in addiction counseling techniques such as applied behavior analysis and psychotherapy
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
- Strong case management skills to ensure continuity of care for clients
- Experience in clinical counseling within the behavioral health field
