Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to serve as a Group Facilitator within our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) . This part-time role is based in a private practice setting and focuses on delivering high-quality care to adult clients, including those who are court-mandated or voluntarily seeking outpatient treatment for substance use disorders. The IOP Group Facilitator plays a critical role in guiding individuals through structured group sessions, supporting their recovery goals, and maintaining thorough documentation to ensure compliance with clinical and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions for adult clients in the IOP. Provide case management support, including treatment planning, referrals, and progress updates. Complete daily progress notes, treatment updates, and other required documentation in accordance with agency, state, and ethical standards. Monitor client attendance, engagement, and participation in group and individual sessions. Collaborate with clinical supervisors, probation officers, and other relevant stakeholders as needed. Support clients in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and sober support networks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in substance use treatment and behavioral health. Adhere to all confidentiality, ethical, and professional standards as required by licensing and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
CSAC (Certified Substance Abuse Counselor) certification required. Experience facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational classes, preferably in an IOP or outpatient setting. Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing. Strong documentation and case management skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professional boundaries. Familiarity with court-mandated client requirements and reporting procedures is a plus.

Part-time, with flexible hours based on program needs.
