Role:
Join 180 Degree Support Services as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in Richmond, VA, where you'll play a vital role in transforming lives. We are seeking passionate individuals dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to those battling substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients. Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential client records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Educate clients and families about substance use and recovery resources. Stay updated on best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment.
Requirements:
Valid CSAC certification in the state of Virginia. Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling. Strong understanding of addiction and recovery principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client welfare. Proficient in documentation and case management software. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
