Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a CSAC -Substance Abuse Counselor and make a meaningful impact on individuals seeking recovery and mental wellness. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate clinical support, to guide clients through their journey toward sobriety and improved mental health. Your expertise will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients can achieve lasting change. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in behavioral health, addiction counseling, to empower others every day. Duties Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy. Facilitate group counseling sessions to support holistic recovery efforts. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques, ensuring client safety and stabilization. Maintain accurate progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, discharge planning, and community care coordination to promote continuity of care. Qualifications CSAC - Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in addiction medicine or behavioral health are preferred. Proven experience in addiction counseling. Strong knowledge of Substance Use Disorders. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills . Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and active listening skills.
