Job Description
We are seeking rehabilitation counseling professionals that have optimum oral and written communication skills to provide intake, eligibility determination and coordination of services that assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their maximum potential. Counselors review medical, psychological, academic, social and employment information to identify functional limitations to employment and develop individualized rehabilitation plans. Counselors coordinate services while identifying comparable benefits and authorizing expenditure of funds for the provision of service to overcome functional limitations and enter employment. Counselors assist individuals with disabilities by advocating for appropriate accommodations that lead to their vocational independence. Counselors monitor and document progress with plan completion. Counselors provide counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities and serve as a conduit between them and their families, academic staff, community rehabilitation professionals and employers. Counselors conduct case management to document intake, service provision, progress, and closures.
