Description:
Position Summary:
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with youth, demonstrates appropriate boundaries, and ensures appropriate care and supervision.
Essential Duties:
Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of Continuum of Care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies. Demonstrates effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Maintains vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care. Actively engages and encourages youth towards their treatment goals and in daily living. Regularly transports youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc. Prepares timely and accurate documentation. Understands and retains instructions for complex tasks. Facilitate or assist with life skills groups, including budgeting, cooking, hygiene, employment readiness, healthy relationships, grief and loss, and wellness activities.
Pay Range:
$18.39 - $22.98 per hour.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents, or youth in a childcare, educational, residential, recreational, behavioral health, or social services setting is required. Associate's degree or coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency in a threshold language preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver's license and insurance. Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR. Must be able to understand and follow policy and procedures. Must be able to document services, incidents, and other required forms/documents. Must be at least 21 years of age
