Do you want to make a difference in your community? We are seeking energetic, dependable, and dedicated Youth Development Staff to join our team year-round! In this role, you will inspire and support children and teens through engaging activities, mentorship, academic support, and recreational programming. Youth Development Staff play an important role in creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in education, childcare, recreation, youth services, or community engagement. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, academic, and physical development Supervise children and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times Build positive relationships with youth and serve as a mentor and role model Support behavior management and maintain a structured, respectful environment Assist with homework help, enrichment activities, games, sports, arts, and STEM programming Support children with varying needs and learning styles Collaborate with team members to plan and implement daily activities and special events Communicate professionally with staff, families, and school partners Qualifications Experience working with children or teens in childcare, education, camps, tutoring, sports, or recreation is preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain a positive, energetic, and professional attitude Knowledge of behavior management and classroom management techniques preferred CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Experience with special education or inclusive programming is helpful Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work in an active environment Passion for youth development and making a positive impact in the community This position offers valuable hands-on experience working with youth while making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in our community. Schedule This position works varying shifts Monday-Thursday between 2:00 PM-6:00 PM and Fridays from 12:15 PM-6:00 PM. Additional hours may be available during school breaks and summer programs.
