New Britain, CT Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Contract $16.75 - $18.00 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Crisis intervention CPR Certification First aid High school diploma or GED Driver's License Working with children First Aid Certification Full Job Description Beyond The Limits Outreach is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) services for youth involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). This position is ideal for candidates with mentoring experience and a strong background supporting youth with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges. Staff will provide structured support, skill-building, supervision, and community-based interventions aligned with each youth's individualized treatment goals. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and supervision to youth in home, school, and community settings Implement structured and enrichment-based activities aligned with treatment plan objectives Support youth in developing: Positive decision-making skills Pro-social behaviors Emotional regulation skills Independent living and life skills Healthy coping strategies that replace problematic behaviors Maintain professionalism, communication, and documentation requirements Collaborate with families, providers, schools, and treatment teams as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred OR Minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth with behavioral or emotional challengesPreferred experience includes: Mentoring or behavioral support work Crisis de-escalation Trauma-informed care Autism/neurodivergent support experience DCF or community-based service experience Requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to pass background checks Strong interpersonal and communication skills CPR/First Aid certification preferred Schedule & Compensation Flexible hours and days available Contracted/per diem opportunities Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and credentials
