Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Youth Mentor & Life Skills Coach Supervisor to lead our team in empowering youth through mentorship and life skills development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, behavioral health, or education, with a passion for working with children and individuals with disabilities. This supervisory role involves overseeing mentoring programs, coordinating life skills coaching, and ensuring that youth receive the support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of youth mentors and life skills coaches, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement engaging mentorship programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of youth in care. Coordinate life skills workshops focusing on areas such as communication, conflict management, self-care, and decision-making. Collaborate with social workers, educators, and caregivers to create individualized support plans for each youth. Monitor program outcomes to ensure youth are gaining essential skills that promote independence and well-being. Facilitate conflict resolution strategies among youth and staff to maintain a positive environment. Maintain detailed documentation of coaching sessions, progress reports, and program activities in compliance with organizational policies. Independent Living & Transition Services Coordinate Independent Living services for youth ages 13 and older.
Assist youth with:

Track and monitor independent living goals and outcomes. Employment & Workforce Development Develop relationships with employers and workforce agencies. Coordinate internships, volunteer opportunities, and employment placements. Organize career fairs, job readiness workshops, and employment preparation activities. Assist youth with obtaining employment and maintaining employment. Track workforce development outcomes and employment success rates. Community Partnerships & Enrichment Develop partnerships with community organizations and service providers. Coordinate community service projects and enrichment opportunities. Recruit volunteers, guest speakers, and community partners. Support fundraising and community engagement initiatives. Expand opportunities for youth involvement in positive community activities. Behavioral Support & Crisis Intervention Assist staff in managing behavioral challenges and crisis situations. Serve as a support person during youth behavioral escalations when needed. Utilize trauma-informed and strength-based approaches when working with youth. Model appropriate de-escalation techniques and interventions. Collaborate with Clinical Services regarding behavioral concerns and treatment goals. Ensure youth safety and adherence to agency policies during crises and critical incidents. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with Case Managers, Therapists, House Managers, Education staff, and Direct Care staff. Participate in treatment team meetings, staffing meetings, ESSA meetings, COP meetings, and other interdisciplinary meetings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Track youth participation, progress, independent living goals, employment outcomes, and program performance indicators. Prepare reports and program summaries as requested. Preferred QualificationsEducation & Experience Pathways Option 1 - Minimum Qualification Pathway High School Diploma or GED with significant experience working with youth may be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of management, supervisory, leadership, program coordination, or staff management experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing teaching, mentoring, life skills training, independent living services, workforce readiness training, case management support, youth development programming, or related services. Option 2 - Preferred Qualification Pathway Associate's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, Youth Development, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of management, supervisory, leadership, program coordination, or staff management experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing teaching, mentoring, life skills training, independent living services, workforce readiness training, case management support, youth development programming, or related services. Option 3 - Strongly Preferred Qualification Pathway Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, Youth Development, or a related field strongly preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, leadership, program coordination, or staff management experience required. Certification in Youth Mentoring, Life Skills Training, Workforce Development, Independent Living Services, Behavioral Health, Youth Development, or a related field preferred. Experience supervising staff and overseeing youth-focused programs. Additional Preferred Qualifications All applicants must have experience developing, implementing, and overseeing mentoring, youth development, workforce readiness, life skills training, employment readiness, transition planning, or independent living programs. Demonstrated ability to build community partnerships and collaborate with schools, employers, workforce agencies, service providers, and community organizations. Demonstrated ability to develop employment opportunities, internships, volunteer opportunities, apprenticeships, and career exploration experiences for youth. Experience coordinating independent living services and transition planning for adolescents and young adults. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, monitor program outcomes, maintain accountability measures, and ensure program compliance. Experience working with at-risk youth, foster care youth, juvenile justice youth, youth with behavioral challenges, youth with developmental disabilities, or youth with mental health needs strongly preferred. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Additional Requirements Valid Florida Driver License with an acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation. Ability to pass Level II Background Screening. Ability to complete all agency-required training requirements. Must obtain and maintain Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) Level 1 or Level 2 Certification within ninety (90) days of employment. Ability to safely intervene and respond to behavioral crises involving youth with emotional, behavioral, developmental, mental health, and trauma-related challenges. Ability to physically participate in approved crisis intervention techniques as authorized through agency training. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, special events, and on-call responsibilities as needed. Schedule School Year Schedule Tuesday through Saturday Tuesday through

Compensation Salary Range $35,000 to $40,000 annually: High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience $40,000 to $45,000 annually: Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience. $45,000 to $50,000 annually: Bachelor's Degree and/or extensive relevant experience. Salary placement is based upon education, experience, certifications, and demonstrated qualifications.
