Full-time, Non-Exempt At Arnette House, Inc. , our mission is to provide safe shelter, support, and guidance to youth and families in crisis. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Counselor to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen families, prevent out-of-home placements, and serve as a positive role model for at-risk youth. As a Family Counselor, you will: Conduct intake screenings and psychosocial assessments for youth and families. Provide crisis intervention , individual, group, and family counseling in the shelter and the community. Create and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with youth, parents/guardians, and other key supports. Deliver case management services, including advocacy, coordination, referrals, and ongoing monitoring. Collaborate with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Families, schools, and community agencies. Maintain accurate clinical records, reports, and documentation. Participate in staff meetings, treatment teams, and outreach activities. Provide transportation for youth and families as needed. Serve as a positive role model, encouraging resilience, respect, and hope.
What We're Looking For Education:
Master's degree in a social/behavioral science field required.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of counseling adolescents .
Character:
Demonstrates strong ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Skills:
Effective communicator, crisis problem-solver, and able to work with culturally diverse populations.
Requirements:
