We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Mentor to inspire and support young individuals in their personal growth and development. As a Youth Mentor, you will serve as a positive role model, providing guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to children and adolescents. Your energetic approach will help foster a safe, engaging environment where youth can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while developing your skills in social work, child welfare, behavioral health, and mentoring. Duties Build trusting relationships with youth through active listening, encouragement, and positive reinforcement Develop personalized mentorship plans that promote social skills, emotional resilience, and academic success Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral health challenges Facilitate engaging activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and life skills Collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for each youth Manage conflict situations with patience and effective conflict management techniques Maintain detailed records of interactions, progress notes, and program participation Requirements Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and child welfare systems Excellent mentoring skills combined with the ability to teach essential life skills Ability to handle challenging situations with calmness and effective conflict management strategies Background in social work or related fields such as child welfare or behavioral health is advantageous Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to empower youth through supportive guidance Join us in creating a positive difference!
