Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Youth Worker / Summer Camp Support Staff member! In this dynamic role, you will inspire and engage children and youth through fun, educational, and enriching activities. Your energetic presence will foster a safe, inclusive environment where children can thrive, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your leadership and childcare skills in a lively summer setting. Duties Supervise and support children during camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, theater, or outdoor games that promote childhood development and teamwork Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a respectful and inclusive environment Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to handle emergencies effectively Support children with special education needs or behavioral challenges, adapting activities to meet diverse requirements Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules, coordinate group activities, and ensure smooth camp operations Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff by demonstrating caring Christian counseling principles and respectful communication Skills Experience in working with children or in childcare settings such as daycare or summer camps Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and promote positive behavior Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Ability to provide first aid and respond confidently to emergencies Background in teaching, tutoring, or working with students enhances your ability to support learning activities Familiarity with special education needs or behavior management techniques is a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members in a lively, motivating manner This paid position is perfect for individuals passionate about nurturing young minds while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, or youth development.
