Salary:

$25 The facility is seeking passionate, compassionate, service-oriented individuals to work in a staff secure setting with youth in the Department of Youth Services' care. This position provides a great opportunity to positively influence a youth's life by being a patient and supportive caregiver. The role is multifaceted and includes teaching, limit setting, advocating, coordinating care, and serving as a role model and mentor. Work as part of a dedicated team to make a difference in a youth's life. This entry-level position is a terrific way for those interested in careers in human services or education to develop their skills and gain relevant experience working with youth.

Responsibilities:

Use principles and practices of youth development and trauma informed care to create a safe and therapeutic environment Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity Foster the youth's skills and interests and mentor their positive development. Implement program activities that are safe and foster personal growth and healthy choices Promote responsible and healthy decision-making among youth Implement applicable safety and emergency requirements including use of crisis prevention and de-escalation skills

Qualifications:

High school diploma or related experience Experience working with youth Valid Massachusetts drivers license TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the positions.
