• The AmeriCorps Member at Community Music School will: Support and mentor students Encourage social emotional development and positive engagement Assist programming (up to 15 throughout Springfield and Holyoke). For example, assisting with set up and break down of the bucket drums, oversight of instruments/proper technique for handling and treating instruments Develop relationships and work collaboratively with staff, students, director and parents Join in casual concerts and events at the sites or other venues Learn and practice various musical craft to gain proficiency and confidence in teaching •

DIAL/SELF

AmeriCorps Program (DSAP)! You'll get a chance to see the ins-and-outs of a local nonprofit and explore ways to support learning, creativity, and community. • DSAP is a 10-month (August 2026 - June 2027) leadership professional development program. • AmeriCorps members serve full-time (40 hours/week) to support positive youth development and strengthen community.

DIAL/SELF AmeriCorps Members:

Develop skills working with youth, schools, and community nonprofits. Build relationships and community through weekly development workshops and collaborative service projects. Pay for college using the $7,395 Education Award. Earn a $1,909/month stipend . Receive free health insurance and child care financial assistance. The

DIAL/SELF

AmeriCorps Program (DSAP) has three core elements : On-site youth work at a local school or nonprofit. Team service project in collaboration with youth and community. Weekly training and reflection to build youth work skills and increase knowledge of different learning styles, social issues, arts integration, motivational interviewing, asset-based community development, restorative approaches, group dynamics and facilitation. Members must be at least 18 years old, a US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident, and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalency. Reasonable accommodations can be made for interviews and service.
