Job Description

Job Type:
Part-time (Friday/Saturday) Job Summary Are you a responsible, caring, and organized individual who loves working with children? Kehilat Pardes is seeking a dedicated Synagogue Youth Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential to creating a warm, safe, and respectful environment for our youngest members during Shabbat services. This role will report directly to the Youth Director of the Synagogue.
Key Responsibilities Active Engagement:
Interact and play with children in a way that is nurturing, fun, and age-appropriate.
Youth Group Setup:
Prepare the youth rooms for Friday evening, Shabbat morning, Shabbat evening including setting up chairs, materials, and distributing snacks.
Behavioral Guidance:
Encourage respectful play and positive social interactions among children, ensuring a peaceful and inclusive environment.
Maintenance & Care:
Maintain a clean and organized space; this includes tidying up toys and materials after activities conclude.
Safety & Supervision:
Monitor all children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications & Skills Caring & Patient:
A natural ability to connect with children and remain calm in a high-energy environment.
Responsible:
Punctual and reliable; understands the importance of being present for the community each week.
Experience:
Previous experience in childcare, camp counseling, or early childhood education is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
1 hour Friday night (Summer hours 7-8PM, Winter timing will vary with sunset) Saturday morning 9-12:30 and evenings (vary with sunset). Holiday shifts will be needed.
Pay:
