Job Summary:
Heartland Girls' Ranch is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to support and mentor residents in a safe and nurturing environment. The Youth Counselor will ensure that the physical, emotional, and self-care needs of residents are met by fostering healthy relationships, providing supervision, and serving as a positive role model.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily supervision, support, and mentorship to residents. Foster a safe, structured, and supportive living environment. Assist residents in developing life skills, emotional regulation, and self-care habits. Facilitate and encourage healthy relationships and positive social interactions. Ensure adherence to program rules and expectations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of residents' progress and behaviors. Transport residents as needed using an HGR vehicle. Work collaboratively with other staff to provide holistic care for residents.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensure:
Valid Driver's License with the ability to transport residents. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish trust and maintain professional boundaries with residents. Experience working with youth in a residential or counseling setting (preferred but not required). Why Join Us?
