Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and motivated Summer Youth Workers to join our team! In this role, you will create a positive, engaging atmosphere for children and teenagers during summer programs. Your enthusiasm will help foster growth, confidence, and fun while ensuring a safe environment for all participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on youth development during the summer months. Duties Supervise children and teens in various activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Lead recreational activities such as sports, arts, theater, and outdoor games to promote teamwork and physical activity Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques and classroom management skills Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational programs Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through compassionate care and tailored activities Foster a welcoming environment aligned with our mission of nurturing growth, self-esteem, and community connection Qualifications Prior experience working with children or in childcare, camp settings, tutoring, or early childhood education is preferred MUST be 18yrs, with HS diploma or equivalent Knowledge of behavior management strategies and childhood development principles Ability to manage classroom or group dynamics effectively using classroom management techniques Valid first aid certification or willingness to obtain one prior to start date Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and families Enthusiastic about working with diverse youth populations, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges Experience in sports coaching, babysitting, theater arts, Christian counseling, or daycare environments is a plus Join us this summer to inspire young minds while gaining valuable experience in youth development!
