Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Specialist to inspire and support young individuals in their personal growth and development. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging environment where youth can explore their interests, build essential life skills, and receive mentorship. Your energy and commitment will help empower youth to overcome challenges, develop positive behaviors, and reach their full potential. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth for youth Provide mentorship and guidance to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral health challenges Support children in building conflict management skills through positive communication strategies Collaborate with families, educators, and social workers to create individualized plans that support each child's welfare and development Monitor progress and document behavioral changes or concerns, ensuring timely communication with relevant stakeholders Assist in creating a safe environment by enforcing rules, managing conflicts, and promoting respectful interactions Lead educational sessions focused on life skills such as decision-making, responsibility, and self-esteem Requirements Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, childcare, or social service settings Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities Strong mentoring skills combined with the ability to manage conflicts effectively Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or related field Ability to remain energetic, patient, and adaptable in dynamic environments Join us in this rewarding role where your enthusiasm fuels positive change!
