Job Description

Overnight Youth Advisor Position:
Youth Advisor Overnight ($19hr to $20hr)
Location:
Bethlehem Shift:
Saturday Overnights (weekly set schedule 10pm-8am)
Per Diem:
Overnight (10pm-8am or 11pm-9am)

Overnight Youth Advisor:
Provide quality supervision during scheduled shifts while actively overseeing youth to ensure adherence to bedtime routines and overnight expectations. Oversee site maintenance/cleanliness in compliance with program, county, state, and federal regulations and private grant requirements, as applicable; responsible for timely submission of follow-up paperwork. Address and report any crisis or critical incident in accordance with agency, county, state, and federal regulations, following the agency's formalized protocols and completing preliminary safety plans as required. Ensure the safety of youth, staff, and the facility by completing and documenting youth observations multiple times per hour during overnight hours, and by remaining on the assigned floor at least 90% of the time while youth are asleep and 100% of the time while youth are awake. Attend both external and internal agency trainings and workshops; complete and pass all required training hours and annual training as set forth in the funder and licensing regulations. Minimum Qualifications of the
Overnight Youth Advisor:
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of the Shelter program. A high school diploma or GED. Possess sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development and behavior. Display strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments effectively. Demonstrate creativity, flexibility in approaches to people and projects, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and inspection on any vehicle used for daily work or transportation of clients. Must pass an annual motor vehicle clearance to operate agency vehicles. Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Windows software; familiarity with the Google Suite is desired. Must have no history of prohibited criminal or child abuse offenses. Physical Requirements of the
Overnight Youth Advisor:
